Spent three and a half hours life-drawing on Tuesday evening, with Tony and co, in a huge well-lit room upstairs in the Cat and Mutton, Broadway Market.
At last, a slender male model...the hell with drawing inarticulate blocks of lumpen flesh!
This guy can actually hold a pose and is an obedient model. It will be just my luck if he walks in front of a bus before the next session I get to.

The landscape portrait of big landowner Mr S McGinn, is dragging on and on. I must have overpainted 5 times now. However, it is a valuable learning curve, as I haven't done vista landscape since pre-graduation.

NB I should watermark images inserted here, preferably with copyright/year.

Later I plan to watch the film 'Hannibal Rising'.
Some of the films I've seen in the last 6 weeks include:
'Pan's Labyrinth' (excellent, gives fantasy a shot in the arm)
'The Illusionist' (disappointing, what is my fave actor Ed Norton DOING?)
'Hide and Seek' (excellent: De Niro in a PROPER rĂ´le again)
'Alpha Dog' (really good, contemporary LA drugs drama)
'Dark Remains' (actually quite scary!)
'Night Skies' (interesting UFO film)
'White Noise' (really should have been better...waste of a great hook) 'The Prestige' (not bad, not electrifying either)
'Snakes on a Plane' (entertaining)
'Dead Man's Shoes' (v.good gritty UK drama)
'Right At Your Door' (excellent)
'The Devil Wears Prada' (OK laydee film)
'The Night Listener' (totally failed to deliver...HATE that Robin Williams)
'The Queen' (yup)
'The Jacket' (all right)
'World Trade Centre' (what a crushing bore)
'The Quiet' (better than av. US 'dysfunctional family' film).

The best horror film I've seen lately was 'Fragile' (UK).
