STILL working on the same canvas tho its nearly finished now, and is looking OK...the portrait problem is almost resolved and the rest of the canvas finally passes muster.
These people paintings will kill me--I cannot let them go till they are RIGHT and this has meant overpainting the same face 10+ times in search of that nuance of expression unique to the individual subject.
I saw the new film by Tony Krantz "Sublime" in between time. It was quite innovative in some respects, but too smugly aware of the fact.
And politically correct surrealism!?...pulEEZE. I was glad when it finished.
