In the course of last night I had a talk with art-bud Eike Erzmoneit in Shoreditch on the brass tacks of art i.e income. His current exhibition in Germany has not sold a single thing yet (NB the hand-made card he sent me showed the one painting he thought would sell immediately).
This bodes ill for those who live on picture-sales, but as I box clever and sell prints, I'm Not Bothered.
Meanwhile in N. Ireland that ace mechanic is fitting the recon turbocharge and I gave the go-ahead to replace all other parts with new (eg radiator) which makes a lot of sense. This would be unthinkable if I was paying London prices (absolute CHEAPEST is £18 per hour for labour alone) tho admittedly it is still a costly affair.
Whatever, I'd rather walk with calipers on my legs than have a wimp mobile going phut phut phut.
