May. 7th, 2007 08:41 pmWatched the new film by US director Karen Moncrieff, 'The Dead Girl' (US 2007). which is a good, interesting and quite moving drama.
The quality of the files I'm getting is really excellent...they are almost all RAR now which I D/L using either BitTorrent or Azureus, expand via UnRAR and view in VLC. The av. size, like .avi, is staying under 702MB meaning these can be burned to 1 CD. I usually just watch on my computer screen as its 20" pure mac, or I can relay to my LCD TV.
At the moment I'm chasing the healthiest file (best seed≠peer ratio) for the new film 'Vacancy' which promises to be in the 'Hostel' type mould with echoes of snuff.
Nothing could be closer to THAT genre, however, than the truly indescribable 'August Underground' by Fred Vogel last year which I somehow managed to get (around the same time everyone was D/L 'cell-phone footage' of Saddam gurgling into his hood as he swung).
Poor old sicko Fred's hand-held film ain't NEVER gonna see general release!!
(actually the same is likely to be true of HIM any day now).
