A memo to horror film makers...LESS IS MORE!
I saw the black + white Japanese film 'Rubber's Lover' in the small hours...its KIND of like Tetsuo The Iron Man, but not as good.
Trouble is, the actors pitched their tone in a state of near-crazed hysteria so they have no-where left to go...if you begin by screaming at the top of your lungs, by the middle of the film you are just going to be hoarse and boring.
Which is a shame as the idea (laboratory experiment Goes Horribly Wrong) was great, and the low-budget set-up worked well in b+wh.

Here's how a reformed character spends Friday night...I'm off to the trial-by-aisle that is called Ikea. Also, as it's the Enfield branch, the mega Tesco next door.
Moral:
carry on abusing whilst you have a system left to abuse, till the Doc in Intensive Care tells you "if you DO carry on, you are holding a loaded gun to your head!"
On the plus side, one's powers of recuperation and liver regeneration are quite phenomenal YIPEE!
