Sep. 19th, 2007 11:05 amWhat a busy, domesticated kind of a BEE I have been since 5am.
My oldest best buddy Alan got back with our Car (!!!!!!!) that we went splits on, driving down from Fleetwood after crossing over from Larne ( and a long drive to get there even). Actually I thought he got here kinda quick...in fact he was doing 136 at one point. (Excellent!) We chatted over speaker phone as he said he felt tired which, on top of the mountains of grub served on those lorry-driver's ferries...(I know, I've pigged out royally on them too) can lead to drowsiness.
After he got here and picked me up I went and helped unload the car outside Al's, then cleaned it all thoroughly inside for an hour (Alan had stopped off for a valet car wash and polish to arrive gleaming).
Then I helped sort thru a mountain of mail, and tidy the place up as you can never find 3 sq inches to sit on there. I took out TWO bin bags of old newspapers etc and started cleaning the windows (there's a lovely view over Regents canal, with barges and a Lock, and dogs chasing on the parkland, with Norman Foster's gherkin overlooking it all). Alan stopped me there tho..enough is enough. I do seem to have come over all Janet from Dr Finlay's Casebook.
So I'm now chauffeured back to base again and Alan's back at his flat sleeping a Serious Sleep.
And the Audi is basking in the morning sunshine in between!

that'll be me behind that wheel VERY shortly
