VC Halloween Party
Oct. 28th, 2007 03:12 pmI really didn't expect to enjoy last night's party very much, for one reason and another; come the appointed hour, however, things just got better and better!
I wore a new little black dress and it felt right, plus I no longer had any of that "orange food colouring" in my hair (as Al called it), so I felt fine lookswise (nothing puts the kiss of death on a party like feeling shabby).
Then Alan came in with me for a change, and it was really nice having him there. And lots of lovely people were there too, AND they said hello!
Then I got to meet Donna's friend Jester, who turns out to be a fantastic character right enough! Oh and he and Al got on like a house on fire...funny how bad lads polarise!
Then I realised the music was WAY GOOD and got dancing...and guess who was playing it but Faith! (so I MUST get to Tanz Macabre one Sunday soon...its a criminal waste not to).
And when it was time for 5 of us to hit the road, there was the Audi parked about 20 secs walk away!! (IF we'd gone the right way, but never mind we found it soon enough).
The car-ride back thru Central and Inner London was a gas in itself!

(Star of the evening: I spotted an owl perched high on the parapet outside, watching the whole scene; going by the profile and size, it was this, the great-eared owl)
