We had an absolutely brilliant time in Scotland! Stayed in Glasgow, which I don't know at all, and
deltress knew a BIT as its her mum's hometown, so was great to explore. Too much to say, so here is the first of mainly photo posts:

Donna swanning up to The Central

fantastic huge old hotel... was like being in The Shining

my photo is gatecrashed!

our back door in the station (+ goodie shops)!

enormous old oak staircase with shadowy corners

out prowling with camera; Glasgow is full of little nooks&crannies

But meanwhile in the main streets...

this City is lively, hectic, noisy, friendly and full of high-spirits at night--its great!

checked clubs at entrances and went in one called the Black&White

unfortunately so did the Polis--think there was a fight cos heard lots of smashing glass and shouting at other end. Got OK-to-go by one bobby then another wanted me to stop, so legged it. This is view of more vans from round corner, tho there were ambulances waiting around anyway. Missed getting photo of blood spattered guy alone in an open one, who called out 'Hiya, ken any good parties?' whilst pressing a wad of bandage to his neck.

It was quite easy to photo at night really, tho kept the camera at waist level and hoped for the best in some shots. The last shots are back in hotel room leaning out of window over parapet as far as poss. to get Argyll Street.
