Met the mad aunties of [livejournal.com profile] deltress on Friday evening and again early Sat. evening for a totally entertaining, intensely-packed few hours then we cabbed back to continue our central Glasgow expedition.

beyond this

outside was the longest, coldest bus-queue ever (it was hysterically funny; I had to be dragged back into the hotel)

and lots of jungle-like noises and movement

When we returned to the hotel late Saturday night, and looked out the windows (I wanted to see the queue) the building directly opposite had huge chunks missing that you could see thru. Turned out it was being slowly demolished in overtime shifts over the weekend we were there.
Also, while we were looking at that, an owl flew past several yards from the window.
It came back later, so definitely real.

After a tonic SLEEP me and [livejournal.com profile] deltress left Glasgow by the early highlands train changing at Perth, where I went to school, and going up over the Cairngorms to Inverness.

We went up to 1500m . This is not a tourist route as you are on the mountains rather than looking at them.
