Eye exercises
Apr. 24th, 2008 12:05 pmI didn't know you can improve eyesight by exercise!--its a total revelation to find out that people have been able to redress the normal deterioration of both long and short-sighted vision by working the MUSCLES which control the lens and its ability to focus.
These muscles get less effective over time, and that is the most common reason that people eventually need glasses.
Also, some people who already need them may simply have weak eye muscles that can be strengthened.
For normal daily maintenance, all you have to do is look up then down, then from side to side AS FAR AS POSSIBLE.
The best target exercises I found are those using convergence, which is quite difficult to do at first.
Eyesight is my most precious possession but I've let it go from 20-20 vision to just average. I don't need glasses and hopefully never will if I keep up these exercises just once a day, and the convergence ones weekly.
