Last night I was getting into the car and noticed a scuffy looking patch on the side, then a 2nd on the bonnet.
On closer inspection by torch its obviously been done by wire-wool, brillo-pad or similar.
Gasp! vandals!
But its not any old random vandal--this is parking bay terrorism at the casual end.
It seems that some newcomers here believe the parking bay outside comes with the ground floor flat they have high-tailed the waiting list for (on account of Gov. ruling on tenant quotients re minority groups, sprog-dropping activity etc etc).
The car, which I share, has been parked in the street outside a LOT recently (whilst I was in Germany, Alan was looking after these fellas =^..^= and =^,,^=).
One earlier indication of resentment was coolly dealt with--Alan found the parking bay squeezed in by little Honda Civic RKLO 313 parked midway between 2 bays on purpose. He simply saw it as a challenge and used considerable skill to manoeuvre the car into that impossibly tight parking space.
I've made a big clear notice reminding the car vandal he's being watched on CCTV and WILL be apprehended.
I tied it to (neutral) railings at 5am and it has not yet been removed (its inside clear plastic so can't be torn off easily).
Somehow I don't think small criminals expect their furtive acts to be blazoned next day in big black capitals for everyone to see.
Meanwhile, off to Audi dealers for some expensive scratch paint
in the same colour code.

Photo (with me blurred out) from Saturday 16th shows patch on bonnet indicating the vandalism happened before then but after a valet car-wash on 13th.
I quite like this detective stuff!
