I'm upgrading from Tiger 10.4.11 this week, its exciting!
The reason I've left it late this time, I HAD an order to Apple Ca. last Oct but when they pulled at the last minute I waited for the first two patches to totally iron out beta issues.
By all accounts OS X 10.5.2 Leopard is purring a mighty purr.

Can't wait to use the Time Machine!

Just switched on BBC News 24 (channel 80) and heard this report; Africans in Kenya are using carbofuran to poison predatory animals which sometimes kill cows from their herds.
They target hippos and other creatures that lions etc kill. After the hippo dies its poisoned meat is passed on all through the food chain. The report showed amateur footage of a lioness in agony, then a vulture.

Poison is also being used by poachers; semec was added to a watering hole in a S African reserve, killing 5 rhinos and other animals.
This has been going on for several years and accounts for a sharp drop in numbers of some predators.

The main supplier of carbofuran and other 'agricultural' poisons is US company FMC Corporation.
