I'm ready for some serious graft, after a refreshing weekend full of cleaner air, grass, earth, flowers ....
One of the first real SPARKLES was seeing Aly vampyresheep running about with a kite on Waterlow hill, wearing a perfect, sticky-out skirt in proper joyous patterned RED

PICNIC, Waterlow Park Saturday
{So - thank you Aly and partner, living-Icon Rob-- superlative cool-thread-wearers, clued-up hipsters AND a good laff}.
(great, a good excuse to LJ-in some appreciation for the Real-Deal peeps. Like its only been a year'na half.

But the kite came later on, so... (sequential development, don't see the point)
Meanwhile back in the Audi on the way to Waterlow, WE were barracking the Arsenal fans at Highbury corner with some choice industrial tracks (take a wild guess- NB deltress was in back also) whilst enjoying heavy police segregation.
It was three o'clock and a puzzling multitude of Runners was filed right up to Holloway Road...

The PICNIC was great...nice atmosphere, and tho a normal, innocent park Waterlow always reminds me of the terrible American cemetery in that delicious Waugh satire 'The Loved One'.
I'll leave it to the Pro's to put in names/LJ names of people present; I recognized pretty much all of them including some mates. Lots were at Prague last year.
Audrey was on her own till Sunday. However, she showed a diabolical lack of interest in getting up to mischief. I just don't understand the woman--she could've swum in the Thames naked with bald men pretending to be dolphins.
I've done it....cos i has the blooood of Tiberius in my veins. My then-boyfriend was quite pleased also.
I KEEP DIGRESSING! and this is IMPORTANT (esp. as I took no photos)
I brought LOADS of PROPER picnic stuff/food and behaved politely with it, tho I ate the cream chocolate desserts as no-one wanted them anyway)
Forgot a rug and Pete Aspden offered a dark-room cloth. Eeuw it was flimsy and covered in dandruff. He had not even brought his camera.
To compensate, I talked non-stop for the entire duration of the picnic.
demonnick666 was clearly on his best behaviour and could not shut me up in a rude fashion. It was great - I inquisitioned, probed rumours, dissected lies, and FOUND OUT THINGS all afternoon to my heart's content.
Sadly, I've forgotten all the info now, or got it muddled up, i.e. attributed to the wrong people. They won't mind surely.

Oh yeah, I mingled too. I had the ACE idea of mingling via a quiche, offering it to lots of people I never talked to before round the far side of the picnic group. I offered it to TWO people and the second one, that lug Mr Paul simply TOOK the whole thing. I was stranded mid-mingle...a social disaster.... had to return UNfriended!!! to the HORRID jeers of the Beast etc.
Soon after I spotted Mr Paul actually MINGLING with my quiche! Bloody making friends all over the place with it.

That's a thing I didn't mention!--ALAN scarpered off as soon as we got out by the park. We thought he was joining us after parking the car in Hampstead . He Scarpered back to his flat to watch the Olympics!!!!! We had to get a tube to get back!!! With Nick Firth!!! In Waterlow we phoned Audrey for directions thru the park and she said Head North!!!! WTF does THAT MEAN!!! I'M HYPERVENTILATING!!!!
He did come back with the car tho...he drove to Walthamstow later on and picked us up there
