maintenance work
Sep. 22nd, 2008 09:22 amThis is how I spent the weekend--well a BIG part of it ... touching up tiny paintwork marks from gravel etc. You're supposed to do this every six months. I think that's a bit excessive-obsessive so this is me doing it for the first time in two years.

I phoned Alan saying 'DON't Forget to take my photo doing LOADS of BRILLIANT, PRECISE, MINUTE work on m'Audi!!!!'
which he did, obviously.

Soon after this photo Alan (i.e. the **co-owner of this vehicle**) left.
I have got a tube of thin paint in my watch hand...I turned towards the car and checked the time all over the bonnet.
UNBELIEVABLY did not have ANYTHING to remove large areas of paint. This stuff is from Audi's chip and scratch touch-up kit and comes with a tiny 'excess paint remover'. XS as in a quarter cm smudge.
I had to FLY to the Mall for white spirits.
Its OK now...I'm not.
