*THIS* is what I have been doing for about TEN hours. That BRUTE of a washing machine i ordered turned out to be the most AWFUL thing imaginable to install.
The last one (much smaller) was really straightforward, but this horrible thing was just plain AWKWARD in every way, right down to requiring a different diameter stand pipe.
In the end i sawed the narrow fitting off the end of the stand pipe (after removing all the shelves etc to get NEAR it, THEN having to take the blade out of the hacksaw to get at the pipe).
I was about to start sawing, very very frazzled and exasperated and i thought 'Why is there a marker saying 'G' on that pipe? Surely it should say 'H' or 'C'...like, what could be in a pipe that starts with 'G'? Somebody must've put the wrong marker on it'.
Then just in the nick of time my gas cooker's timer beeped.
That's a guardian angel watching over me! : )
