Sutton House Soc.

This 5 centuries old house is 15 mins walk from my flat: I'm now a member of the Sutton House Society.
Apart from being an absolutely wonderful place to go to step back in time, it holds chamber music concerts and has a small gallery (*gleam*)

They sometimes have open sketching sessions in the courtyard in summer; i went to one but it was so dull i drew an imaginary ghost levitating there. The point is, if you are ostensibly 'with' the sketching group you have almost limitless time and opportunity to wander about or to sit perfectly quietly for a long time in, say, the bend of the staircase.....
