Yep, heart Zanussi all over the place --- the engineer has just called and re-levelled my washing machine (now running SILENTLY). And just to be on the safe side he has ordered a new suspension thing for the drum - which he'll return and fit this Friday.

AND - while he was there he checked the under-sink plumbing and reckons i should get the estate plumber to re-fit the mixer-tap as it has a slight leak. So i phoned em and THEY are coming to do that next.

That is well serviced

Ch 4 - Dispatches

This disgusting, infuriating, deeply worrying and depressing report just reinforces everything I've come to believe of Britain's social services.
Recruits to this sort of vital profession are traditionally THE LEAST SUITED to its vicissitudes. They derive from a strata of society (notably fkin sociology graduates - *spit*) that is incapable of spotting the sort of abuse that it is imperative they MUST be alert to in order to spot and withdraw potential victims.
This recruitment FAIL extends right across the field to include the idiotic counselling professions.
Eg from my own experience of counselling fr addiction I can honestly say there was no easier place to score in times of post-bust scarcity, than outside Dr Mack's office.
(and yeh, I did not pause for breath before sticking an S on that name).
In fact i think i'd have decided to stop COLD by myself, ie no stupid methadone or listening to a load of textbook crap --a lot sooner otherwise.
Fr Christs sake, set a thief to catch a thief. Its OBVIOUS.

Predictably my imagination is now running with... 'if they do this to children, wtf are they doing to animals'.
