I put myself on this diet a week ago.
Yes I *know* I don't need to lose weight - it was an experiment provoked by curiosity. There have been many stories/reports in the media of course, but i like to find things out fr myself.
What would happen if I didn't eat bread, pasta, cereal, rice?
ANSWERs ---
it attacked underlying fat in my face most obviously. U COULD use it to get a chiselled look but on me it's absolutely not a good result. I just look haggard! - cannot wait to chomp it back on again (so that's a week of nourishment a go-go ahead)
The biggest change was mental. I felt apathetic and lackadaisical and I stopped just as it was heading towards proper depression.
Physically, as u'd expect, my energy levels plummeted. I probably cheated more as the days went by as a result of this one factor eg i got thru a lot of packets of those seed, nut + fruit mixes and ate barrels of nuts and popcorn (the latter being low- but- carb-all-the-same).
If u wanted to step up this highly effective weight loss diet, you could cut right down on the high-calorie non-carb foods by substituting low fat alternatives.
I'd guess u could lose half a stone in a week even without doing that
tho, its THAT effective.
Right -- 2 big slices of wholegrain toast with crunchy peanut butter and Scottish raspberry jam puleez : )

recently this favourite place was described by [livejournal.com profile] mark13 thus: 'it looks like some sort of strange, derelict rocket launch pad that has been overtaken by jungle.'
Brilliant!

2 more fotos from the green weekend

GAWd I have spent a FORTUNE this month : (((
It stops NOW -- i am on a totally serious budget till whenever.
I see a July pattern forming - it appears to be a month of indifference to outcome, and of general discontent.
Next year i will apprehend it.
The weather is possibly the main culprit. Did not people historically flee the London miasma in high summer? I dream of cool lawns stretching away to woodland, and white, blue and violet flowers sprinkling deep hollows.
That's probably why i've planted these .....

man that is one HARSH red brick wall : (

Ew CREEPY!! - I locked myself out this evening and look what ctg picked fr a LOlcat today ---

: (
it is dead funny tho -- i love those nonplussed cats like "lifeguard kitteh - is ready to ignore ur distress"
I ws only locked out fr 20 mins -- i hadn't double-locked my front door so it was easy to get in using a coat-hanger i had stashed outside.
While i was poking it around thru the letterbox I did feel a (Panzer) paw swipe on my arm.... almost to say 'we're *trying* to have an after-dinner nap in here!'
What a lot of LJ posts i've posted today. Its my nerves ...... and the London miasma.
