Lo/No Carb diet result
Jul. 27th, 2009 09:22 amI put myself on this diet a week ago.
Yes I *know* I don't need to lose weight - it was an experiment provoked by curiosity. There have been many stories/reports in the media of course, but i like to find things out fr myself.
What would happen if I didn't eat bread, pasta, cereal, rice?
ANSWERs ---
it attacked underlying fat in my face most obviously. U COULD use it to get a chiselled look but on me it's absolutely not a good result. I just look haggard! - cannot wait to chomp it back on again (so that's a week of nourishment a go-go ahead)
The biggest change was mental. I felt apathetic and lackadaisical and I stopped just as it was heading towards proper depression.
Physically, as u'd expect, my energy levels plummeted. I probably cheated more as the days went by as a result of this one factor eg i got thru a lot of packets of those seed, nut + fruit mixes and ate barrels of nuts and popcorn (the latter being low- but- carb-all-the-same).
If u wanted to step up this highly effective weight loss diet, you could cut right down on the high-calorie non-carb foods by substituting low fat alternatives.
I'd guess u could lose half a stone in a week even without doing that
tho, its THAT effective.
Right -- 2 big slices of wholegrain toast with crunchy peanut butter and Scottish raspberry jam puleez : )

recently this favourite place was described by
mark13 thus: 'it looks like some sort of strange, derelict rocket launch pad that has been overtaken by jungle.'
Brilliant!
