Yep, a mixed 2 days starting with gorgeous Friday evening drive when Alan dropped me & D on Jamestown Street (me = record blitz on Red Bull) b4 we went on with A. to experience MENTAL Hanzel und Gretyl at the Underworld. They are FKIN BRILLIANT live! And that mega heavy intro is CREEEEEEPY!!!!!!!!
Really tho - its not often u see a band with that much humour and charisma plus total HEAVY vibe that kinda gets lost on disc unfortunately; definitely go see them live at every opportunity : D
Saturday met pal DF for a waltz round the older Tate (which has not been done in YEARS) then the nearby Morpeth pub. So unused to that gallery that in fact i walked in awRRRRong direction on vicky embankment and had to get a cab back again. {Ten horrid quid, plus NB i realised i 'dropped' a twenty somewhere on Friday -- this is not good, me : ( }
I'm quite impressed that he has got a new little film out last month 4 which he got Hugo Speer to play the lead. (considering that its a fairly new career - DF used to do advertising eg those groundbreaking ('lose the dot!') flat colour Persil ads that are now being re-run in a shabby way).
I mention this because I'm seriously considering dumping all of my artwork on him and telling him to get what he can 4 it.
Cz I came home to a rainbow on my road yesterday evening and spent a quiet, contemplative evening in .......
