Still with the Decorators.....

There are now 2 gabby Essex boy type decorators called John and Eric on the other side of the windows so fr the first time the screened off voices of the decorators are speaking English and the top coat is being painted at last.
For the last 3 hours I've heard the Word as relayed by these disembodied voices, and y'know, its NICE to hear their prosaic and basically capable, optimistic take on the business of living.
Its like the programme i watched on 4 about soldiers last evening called Battle Scarred -- it also made me think that these guys are timeless---change the idiom and they could be ordinary British men talking about any battle or any period in our history.
Hearts of oak n that.
