evening in Chelsea

This evening at DF's I was the (only) dinner guest -- had fascinating conversation, looked at a collection of original film posters and the absolute *neatest, coolest* original drawing by Jean Cocteau. Those pencil lines!!!
This is the top of his head with the Cocteau picture behind (i feel i should not post the full photo), and below, the Thames from one of the *two* 40' balconies of his, um, flat.

I didn't stay long after 11pm..... not used to this kinda stuff! Its all cool tho. NB i gave him that Revelations lamb painting he rated, as a gift.

Sore throat

I have been getting a really sore throat on and off since last week -- its starting to bother me again today. I am *not* going to that bacteria-fest that is my local clinic unless absolutely vital.
I can't be bothered to go to Boots/Superdrug (yet) and 4 once the joy that is my thoroughly adult medicine cabinet has run out of stock (no Dequicaine).
Now to look up olde-fashioned home-style remedyes (aside from the gruelling gruesome gargle with salt water).
