It is perfectly possible - even desirable - to iron ur drawings and prints, even on the facing side (but go easy on that one) and using a pretty hot iron too. Adjust the heat /steam setting to the thickness of the paper and iron it on a sheet of *pristine* white paper. For creases, spray the sheet lightly first. As soon as uv ironed it put the sheets between lined boards or the pages of a large volume. 
In the foto i'm smoothing out a crumpled drawing of a rib-cage and it came out 100% flat.
