(Hannah describes it better)
I absolutely love this*!
It was great fun seeing it in company last evening with
combat_kitten and pal and a few slightly gothicky but otherwise hale and hearty guys ; )
I'll definitely go back both on my own - just to wander around, *look and not think* - and also again in company.
Its that good.
My only quibble is that there isn't enough of it.
To compensate for this after I left the Barbican i walked 7+ miles home by the London Wall (detoured around the Museum and several of those dwarfed old buildings) Moorgate, City Road, Liverpool St, Shoreditch, Kingsland waste, Regents Canal, Dalston.....er Sainsbury's.
I could write screeds of description! Instead, just say there was not a minute of that walk that was not exciting - i ADORE walking London!
NB meanwhile, wrestled thoughts about the cruelty ingrained into the fabric of the city - (every city) but that was ok really. The wind blows freshly right thru ur head as u walk!!
*goes for a lot of other Polish/Czech --oh just eastern European -- art in general. I think it started with the famous white on white compositions by Malevich which are some of my favourite pieces -- innovative brushstrokes as well!! : D
