brief note
Jan. 15th, 2010 10:53 amA semiquaver on Loss (cz it is patently NOT a subject i wish to hover around) which is brought to mind by a friend writing on their experience and good progress.
The sticking point was a rooted feeling that by 'getting over' their passing, i was leaving them behind. It was the idea of that person (or dog, come to that) left by themselves somewhere cold and dark, that I found so upsetting. I started to get out of it by thinking 'no, no they're really comfortable there and actually u're just stopping them from getting to what they most want - eversleep; come away and leave them alone!'
I kept arguing with myself for a while of course.
