Bands + cats
Mar. 7th, 2010 02:01 pmFriday night was FUN at The Goff on Holloway Rd. enjoying sets by Rome Burns and Witching Hour (Dead Heaven a little too dirgey - maybe better in a different venue) and catching up with quite a few familiar folk.
Rome Burns had a surprisingly GOOD backbeat - loved that rich bubbly bass and drum - and excellent, disciplined guitar- tight! The frontman was suitably entertaining and iconic - not just exactly my taste in vocals, but very good at the stuff-strutting!
We seem to have driven to the furthermost corners of London and ∫ points between since then (oh, Alan also kindly drove me, Donna and Anthony to Holloway on Friday, b4 turboing back to his snooker games) - pre-travel details. Its been gorgeous weather fr getting about and LOOKing tho : )
I am DREADING the journey to the cat hotel (') in Essex onTuesday morning tho. I wish there was some way u could explain things to pets.
Circuit had to stay in the Blue Cross hospital when he broke his leg (thru being a loony cat basically); he yowled the place down...they said they'd never seen an animal so upset and then so delighted at being fetched. So u cn see why I'm apprehensive. : (
Here he is today with his half-bro Panzer (yes they were in a big scuffle-wrestle within 3 minutes of these pics. but i'm trying to show the 'taking care of each other' aspect).
