The Limbo 13 meeting in Camden is cancelled; what can i get up to i wonder....
Oh yeh, art.
I was very impressed by Core Arts up near Hackney Marshes on Friday when I took the tour on the recommendation of case worker/art enthusiast George McNamara.
Housed in a converted church and adjacent Victorian hall it is cavernous and dynamic both; with studios for artists and musicians as well as facilities for print-making, ceramics, web-design etc etc it has the buzz of a hive.
All the computers are intel macs!
I love that it ensures privacy, space AND MATERIALS for people like myself to work on solo art projects whilst being welcome to dip into what's happening on the other side of the studio door.
There's a wonderful garden area too and even the short journey from my home is via the path thru leafy, squirreled St John's Churchyard.
Hopefully this will ensure a brighter outlook, better prospects; I suffered illness thru nervous exhaustion last year thru trying to keep ahead of getting my online/cpu/iPhone being restricted/taken over, accessed, hacked, whilst getting character-assassinated, beaten up by thugs, burgled, A&E hospitalised etc etc etc
It becomes a pointless bore to keep toughing things out alone and I've realised - late - it is sometimes necessary to admit to fragility.
Hopefully I'll be motivated and enthused to work OK at Core; my full membership begins in late March.
