Dead Silence
May. 18th, 2007 01:02 amWith stuff cropping up, it wasn't until gone midnight that I finally watched "Dead Silence" and it was excellent! Really good cinematography and scares...the plot is daft (aren't they all?), but gripping from start to end with horror elements PROPERLY horrific.
Oh and some jump in the seat shocks upped the squeal factor!
I don't know when this will get released here...I saw it on high-quality MPEG of a private LA screening from inside the industry.
Other films I've seen v. recently are: 'Vacancy' (worth seeing) 'Zodiac' (better than the 2005 film anyway) 'Perfect Stranger' (worth seeing) 'The Hills have Eyes 2' (not as good as the first one but good) and, by my favourite Japanese directors The Pang Brothers...Danny and Oxide... "The Messengers".
I have '28 Weeks Later' on disc, watched some, but as this one is NOT best quality I'm hanging to download a better file.
