Floor painted white -

the cat feast altar + god cat on his mat of a thousand fishes


it'll look better when i stop DIYing and clear the decks
(NB if anybody wants that Zanussi spinner they can have it gratis, i never use it).

On Thursday I decided to paint a floor - it took quite a lot of preparation beforehand but I'm pleased with this result, using Johnston's High Performance Floor Paint. I gave it a second coat yesterday - looks good.
Anyway it will do till I eventually tile the floor.
Next I'm going to get Appliance Paint for the fridge (also Radiator spray paint) which I want in the palest ice-cream pink (may do w/machine in palest pastel blue and radiator in pastel almond - all ice-cream colours)
Unfortunately you cannot get this paint in colours in the UK, so I'm going to get a tin of Ronseal Appliance Paint in White and mix well in a tiny drop of crimson oil paint.


This DIY is all very well but I have got to get a canvas going - angry image in my head of a hand picking something up by its eyes.

Return of the Tormentor

This is nuts - the bad stuff is starting again and i still have a tan from my month's getaway (topped up tho, of COURSE).
I avoid animal cruelty sites / info like the bloody plague now, and I rarely watch wildlife programmes any more because they ALWAYS carry a message and bring more info about damage and loss.
I know enough and more than I need.
But random phrases and snips of images get thru ... "in constant fear of rough handling by workers".....monkey hanging on to bars of cage as lab assistant reaches in .... leopard scavenging rubbish heap ...."planning 28 day transport of cattle"......

NO!!!! concentrate on that view from the plane..... 'Tranquillo" spoken a hundred times -- integral part of Costa Rican daily speech.

False alarm -- i actually BREEZED thru that, i'm stronger than i thought. Coping mechanisms well tuned, evidently.
Good. Friend's coming over, going to Big Red tonight 6 - 10pm ish-- robot_mel's birthday stuff starts there then continues at Invocation. Probably won't do Invo -- don't have anything suitably swanky/conventional to wear to that anyway and its a swine to get back from (no GPS thanks to scumbag thief = no Central car journeys)
