Jan. 25th, 2010 09:14 amHello LJ!
LJ of Yore!! hello bright jesters, prinking proseters, heralds of revelry, fanfaring minstrels....
ew. its musty in here.
Like most, i've spent probably a greater percentage of uptime at Default lately.
By contrast it *really* smells of plastic there (like a Fair built over a grand central vat of styrene polymers) but the Draw is that (i expect its same fr everybody) you actually know just enough Real people to be(come) tolerant of all the little Incompats that dimple the interface. Also, on the *face* of it has Facebook reined in its dumb-down career.
*I neglected Facebook last week -it's odd how that info has lodged*.
You can sense the hum of the big social sites across the web.
I'm pleased that its beenfun easy to resist the exhortions to +Add Friends! Add Friends!+ that underpin everything.
I had 66 when i revisited it at the start of the month. I only had most of those because first time round i freaked out and panic-added; -- friend suggestions (by Facebook), mutual friends, requests from people i didn't know...
A single figure list suddenly felt like walking down wintry streets in a bikini--- except on Facebook u grab people as coverup!
So there's a hard-core of complete strangers at the centre of my resistant FFFlist. What if they find out?!!
The little swine could turn into Burnham Wood or the Medwych Cuckoos or anything!
