Travel fotos - Taipei (Keelung), Taiwan
Apr. 19th, 2010 01:55 amI hardly took any pics on land and almost none after dark in Keelung; the 'streets' can suddenly become black caverns as street lighting depends on trade and it was insanely populous. People hunker down to eat dim sum, soup and dumplings, the speciality stuffed buns and other pak choi pork + duck fat delicacies on/by the jam-packed walkways in a coral REEF of legs. Meanwhile mopeds zoom everywhere they can possibly GET, the riders and passengers clutching poodles. A couple of times I spotted human babies handed from one moped to another across the crowded street, but usually it was poodles. They seemed in high glee despite the usual oriental dog accessories turned up high (4 matching boots is all the rage in Iron-lung).

Exbo set up pics
Apr. 19th, 2010 06:05 pmPhoto sequence from yesterday; me and Simon JourneyBoy (Manchester based) helping two of the AOI chiefs set up the exhibition we're holding on Pall Mall till next week. Another guy René photo'd on my Canon.
I *like* sequence photography, squinty face notwithstanding : §
NB it's an international society /exhibition so there're only a very few exhibitors based in London and able to come and help hang. A few people came in from other places tho, and good for them! (including some guy who helped me carry my pictures from the car across Waterloo Place tourist gauntlet).
